Stained hands, you know what that means! HAHA

After several rounds of bleaching and dying my own hair, someone was finally willing to let me do it to theirs! And of course, the very lucky guinea pig was - drum roll please! - Eli.

This was Eli and her hair prior to bleaching.

I separated a swatch from the lower back of her hair, added equal amounts of bleach, wrapped the foil around it (so it wouldn’t affect the rest of her hair) and bobby-pinned it up, so it wouldn’t stain her shirt! (it did still tho lol)

For some reason around 45 minutes into bleaching, water and foam started forming. I honestly have no idea why, since I don’t think thats ever happened to me when I’d do it to myself. Then again, I can’t really see the top of my head clearly.

After rinsing her hair, we found out that blondes do have more fun ;) HAHA kidding. 

Finally, I evenly applied After Midnight Blue to her hair (the same color as mine obvs). The color while it was being applied kinda looked like an umbilical chord, but its all good.

We waited another hour and 15 minutes, and this is how it turned out! The color is more vibrant compared to how my bangs look, mainly because we bleached it twice as long this time.

Both Eli and I are really happy with how it turned out! Maybe I could do people’s hair next summer for extra cash, yes/yes? ;) That’d be epic.
